At Bora Bora Farm, Rose has created an urban garden that provides fresh, high-quality produce that is available locally so women don't have to make long and often dangerous early morning journeys to buy produce for their families. Today, Rose is testing different models to continue to scale and grow additional produce in confined and challenging spaces. One of her successful projects is called sack gardening, where she grows produce in burlap sacks and compost bags. This model reduces ground pollution and amount of water needed to produce fertile plants. Rose is looking to build a greenhouse from recycled materials that will help grow healthier plants and grow crops that are out of season.
